What the Plum!?

More, more, more plums!

First, I made some plumjams:


Then I made some plumcake:

The cake is from Dorie Greenspan's book, Baking, which Jen was so kind as to lend to me. Happily, Google has also digitized it, so you can see the recipe exactly as I did here. It was pretty simple... but didn't turn out quite like I expected. The plums all ended up in the middle, with the cakey parts along the sides. It was still tasty but I think I'd like to take another try. I'll let the butter melt in the pan a bit longer next time, and place the plums and batter a little more carefully.

Luckily, I've got tons of plums. Next up: plum scones!
