The biggest difference is that I no longer eat (or cook with) the following:
- cow's milk
- goat's milk
- all cheeses
- yogurt
- beef
- lamb
- egg yolk
- egg white
- wheat
- gluten (found in wheat, rye, barley)
- gliadin (found in wheat, rye, barley)
- almond
- peanut
- pineapple
- garlic
- spelt
- tricicale
- mustard
- chili powder
...and as such, my old arsenal of recipes is pretty much useless. While that list does seem scary, I'm pretty well accustomed to it by now. In fact, I'm finally starting to really cook despite these restrictions, so I thought I'd better start keeping track.
Another relatively minor thing that will be different is that every post won't have pictures. When something is exceptionally lovely I'll capture it, but the lighting in my kitchen is crappy and I'm generally in a hurry. I don't want the lack of a good picture to prevent me from posting.
With that, I hope you enjoy the program. :-)
